Week 6 term 3 2016
Hi all :)
Week 6 already!!
We are currently practicing for cross country so if you would like your child to bring their trainers to school to run in they can, we will change into these before we practice and then back into our school shoes :) I will let you know closer to the time when the actual run will be :)
Please have a read of the email below - I will send this to you as an email also. I have signed the children up to this and will send their log in details home with them :) we will also set aside some time in class to go through this with them. We need your help too please :) :)
You may know that our class is participating in the AIA
Healthy Kids Challenge. It's a fun virtual adventure around the globe, led by
rugby star Cory Jane and his special guests. We all create our own little
avatars and each child will receive a free pedometer to count steps in the real
world that will move our team around the online race track. As our steps move
us to a new destination, we see a video of our class of avatars exploring with
Cory and getting some healthy tips too.
We need your help too! We'd love you to get involved so you can support and encourage your child to get moving more often and help us get more entries into the draw to win one of 20 $1000 AIA sporting grants for our school and one of 50 Huawei tablets for our classrooms. Simply join the Parents Class Team and count your steps to help move your team around the same course as the kids. Race against other parents teams, get active with your child and have some fun along the way.

Week 5 term 3
Just a reminder that Daffodil day is this Friday. The children are allowed to wear mufti - the colour of Daffodils.
They will need to bring a gold coin to raise money for cancer.
They will also need to bring their own container to make a sand garden in, flowers and any other materials they are wanting in their garden. Please be careful what toys are taken to school for their gardens.
There will be a whole school viewing of these gardens at 2pm followed by jump jam. You are welcome to attend this :)
We have started touch every Tuesday for the next 4 weeks. Our first session was yesterday and we had great fun :)
We are currently practicing for a year 0 - 3 cross country. I will update you about when this will be taking place so that you can come and watch if you wish :)

Week 3 term 3 2016
Morning all,
Next week we are having class photos... On Tuesday. The whole school has been spoken to about wearing the correct uniform to school. This means the correct school polo shirts, black or navy shoes, black, white or navy socks, no nail polish etc. Please make sure your child is in the correct school uniform :) :)
The focus for this term is empathy and resilience - it would be great to talk through these things at home with your child :)
Hopefully you all received your child's school report last Friday :)
We are in the process of making our calendar art. A news letter went home about this last week. Please send your order forms back to school by the end of next week :)
If you have any old puzzles or board games that you would like to donate to Habitat 5 that would be great :)
