Thursday 3rd March

For homelink I learnt about bees. There are social bees that live in hives and solitary bees that live alone. They get all their food and drink from flowers. A bee has five eyes. They use these eyes to look for flowers.

For homelink last night I  googled  bees  and  Queen  bees. I found out this information:
Queen bees lay  over  2000   eggs in  summer.
Bees  only live for 30  days.

We have been writing all the facts we now know about bees. We are reading Honeymakers for our shared reading book. We made a connection to another bee book called What is a Bee? We got the facts from these books :)

It was so nice and sunny today so we decided to do our reading in the sun :)

Here is Riley reading a book to the class :)

Today Isaac taught Marcus how to tie his shoe laces :) :)

A good homelink idea would be to practice letter formation and handwriting :)

  1. Mrs Farrell, you are an inspiration to our kids. Josh L loves being in your class and thinks you are amazing - as we do too. The engagement that the kids have in their learning is a reflection of your passion to teaching.
Thanks for an amazing beginning of the year.
